Who We Are

Our Mission

Provide leadership in regional economic development and diversification in alignment with local, statewide, and national initiatives that add long-term value to Northern New Mexico.

Our Corporate Values

The corporate values governing the Regional Development Corporation's work will include the following:

  • Integrity and Credibility – We are committed to a level of professional competence that demonstrates we believe in what we are about, we are informed and care about the issues and needs of those we serve and we deliver the results we promise.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit – We purposefully look for and initiate actions that result in fresh, creative approaches that promote the RDC mission and our credibility.
  • Approachability and Accessibility – We make it easy for our stakeholders to do business with us. They can depend on our information and count on our straight forward style of communications.
  • Synergistic Collaboration – We create opportunities through strategic partnerships for mutual benefits greater than the sum of our individual efforts.
  • High Performance Teamwork – We serve as advocates for each other’s interests and encourage each other frequently. We feel a mutual responsibility and accountability for our collective results. We take our work seriously and accomplish it in an enjoyable, fun, tension- free work atmosphere that each of us help to create.

Our Vision

Our vision is for an economically diverse regional economy where thoughtful and cooperative planning results in an environment that nurtures business and entrepreneurial development.

Strategic Directions

  1. Business and Entrepreneurial Development. RDC will create clear pathways for business and entrepreneurial development by identifying and partnering with those that provide services critical to entrepreneurial growth companies.
  2. Knowledge Management. RDC will collect and maintain a repository of information to assist stakeholders to implement effective and appropriate economic development solutions.
  3. Workforce Pipeline. RDC will facilitate strategic linkages between potential employers and educational resources that address math and science critical skills shortages.
  4. Capacity Building. RDC will foster the environment for businesses and other stakeholders to ensure that it is sustainable and dependable, by working to link existing and new services that result in: a robust and reliable infrastructure; mechanisms for networking; increased management capacity; and improved physical infrastructure.
  5. Advocacy. RDC will continue to develop and strengthen key alliances and collaborative networks in order to leverage resources, maximize contributions, and identify emerging opportunities
  6. Citizenship. Board members and staff will continue to take an active, voluntary role to make a difference in our community.
